Attached are 4 digital photos of the NOAA goes antenna and the NOAA acoustic well. The +20 level sustained a fair bit of damage over the last couple of months: 1. The conduit running from the NOAA junction box to the acoustic well seperated at both the well and the junction box. Only the data cables are holding the conduit. 2. The flash plate covering the CU junction box was pulled off. 3. Conduit running around the perimeter of the +20 level that houses the Scripps cabling was seperated in at least one place. In addition, it looks like one of the two NOAA antennas was hit (probably with the crane) and damaged as seen in the photo (Noaa002.jpg and Noaa003.jpg). The weather conditions did not permit work (for the platform hands either.. see Harve009.jpg) down on the +20 level. Steve West agreed to take care of repairing the conduit at the next opportunity, especially since, the Minerals Management Service (MMS) had written the damage up. So, neither the CU system, nor the NOAA acoustic system is functional at this time. I would like to schedule another trip that coincides with a NOAA visit. The UPS batteries were replaced and the old ones packaged for shipping back to JPL. In addition, the JPL WVR computer and STATION computer were pulled and packaged for shipping. Mike Wienner will see to it that they are shipped back to Port Hueneme on this week's supply boat. They will then call you, Bruce, so that you can make arrangements to have them shipped to JPL. There are six packages in all: 3 sea containers, and 3 small boxes (each containing an old UPS battery).
