B is contract start
B+n is n months after start
These add to yours

I think the XML handling is a little unclear
I added XML tools as a new category which will affect
	several other areas

Maybe (in all cases) delivery team is not precise -- add others as needed

Interoperability
----------------
This is Middle Tier Issues
Virtual XML -- EJB -- Java

We will start using conventional technology -- namely
Java wrappers for Object Model -- however even here interfaces
will be defined in XML with Java IDL generated automatically

We will over course of contract migrate to web service
implementation in staged fashion as below

Specify Java wrapper model with XML defined IDL B+2 (IU)

Design of DB -- Virtual XML -- EJB -- Java Layer B+6 (IU,JPL,USC)

Design of WSDL Implementation of Service Model B+9 (IU)
WSDL is better written Web Service perhaps

Object Grid Framework
----------------------

Gateway based middletier adapted to project B+4 (IU)

EJB version of Gateway B+12	(IU)

Castor (or Equivalent) EJB implementation of Virtual XML layer
with EJB plus Java Middle Tier B+15	(IU)

Full Web Service based middle tier B+18	(IU)

Database -- Web Service through Virtual XML Layer	B+24	(IU,USC)

Testing of full framework B+24 to B+36

Object Grid Services
---------------------

Portal Service based on Gateway B+6	(IU)
Design improved Portal Service B+9	(IU)
Deploy improved portal service B+18 (IU)

Visualization Design with User Requirements	B+6 (IU,JPL)
Initial deployment of basic tools B+12 (IU,JPL)
	integrated into portal
Further visualization tools B+24	(IU,JPL)
Visualization as a Web Service B+30	(IU,JPL)

Collaboration Design based on Garnet	B+3	(IU)
Initial deployment of Garnet B+6	(IU)
	aimed at collaborative research
		and visualization
Second generation collaboration system design B+15 (IU)
Deploy next generation system B+30	(IU)

Security Design B+12	(IU)
Deployment of NASA certified security model	B+18	(IU)

Disaster Management
---------------------

Analysis of requirements of Data Management, Portal and
Collaboration services and analysis of
differences from scientific analysis environment	B+12	(DM Team)
DM Team = JPL IU Caltech
		Maybe other features need change

Disaster Management Prototype	B+24	(DM Team)

XML Tools
---------
Analysis of XML Tool needs B+3 (IU,JPL)

Purchase and deploy commercial tools	B+6 (all)

Build wizards, filters, validation processes
	Ongoing B+6 to B+24 JPL,IU)

This has to support both Schema development and meta-data entry
